Ruma Whā's Favourite Places.
During Term 3 Ruma Whā have been making connections with each other, where they are now, where they come from, and what is important to them.
The purpose of this learning is to help them understand that they can have a link to a place and to other people through a place or a taonga (treasure, precious object).
Each student was asked to bring their own taonga or choose from a variety of objects provided for them to choose from.
The image above shows the students in Ruma Whā holding their taonga. They have drawn a line to the place they have a connection to.

The students love to receive positive comments on their blog.
